What is an Investor Password and How to Change It

An Investor Password is a read-only login for your MT4 or MT5 account. It allows others to view your open trades, trading history, and balance without being able to place or close any orders.

This is particularly useful if you want to:

• Share your account performance with potential investors

• Provide access to a mentor or analyst

• Showcase trading results publicly, without risking execution

How to Create or Change Your Investor Password

On MetaTrader 4/5 (Desktop)

1. Open your terminal and go to

   Tools

   →

   Options

2. Select the

   Server

   tab

3. Click

   Change

4. Check the box for

   "Change investor (read-only) password"

5. Set your new password and confirm

💡 Make sure your new password is strong and different from your main trading password.

On iOS Devices

1. Open the MetaTrader app

2. Tap

   Settings

3. Tap your

   account tab

   at the top

4. Tap the

   "..."

   or

   ">"

   icon

5. Select

   Change Password

   → then

   Change Investor Password

On Android Devices

1. Tap the

   ≡

   menu in the top-left corner

2. Go to

   Manage Accounts

3. Select

   Change Password

4. Choose

   Change Investor Password
