The bid price is the value at which you can sell an asset on the market.
It’s the default price shown on all charts in both MT4 and MT5 platforms.
However, every trade has two sides:
Bid
= Sell price
Ask
= Buy price
To fully understand your trading costs and execution levels especially for buy orders it’s useful to display the ask price line on your charts.
